Meet the 2012 Australian Team...

Eventing

Andrew Hoy riding Rutherglen
Andrew is a six-time Olympian (1984, 1988, 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004),
triple Olympic Games gold medallist (Team Eventing - Barcelona 1992, Atlanta 1996, Sydney 2000)
and Olympic Games silver medallist (Individual Eventing - Sydney 2000).
Chris Burton riding Holstein Park Leilani
Chris represented Australia at the World Equestrian Games in 2010.
This is his first nomination to the Australian Olympic Team.
Clayton Fredericks riding Bendigo
Clayton is an Olympic Games silver medallist (Team Eventing - Beijing 2008).
Lucinda Fredericks riding Flying Finish
Lucinda is an Olympic Games silver medallist (Team Eventing - Beijing 2008).
Shane Rose riding Taurus
Shane is an Olympic Games silver medallist (Team Eventing - Beijing 2008).

Members of Equestrian Australia’s Shadow Squad – Eventing, were informed of the decision on Tuesday evening 19 June 2012. The selection process allows athletes a 48 hour period to lodge an appeal against the nominated team. 
The final team selections will be advised by the Australian Olympic Committee.

Dressage and Show jumping

Earlier on in the month the Equestrian Australia’s national Dressage and show jumping selectors identified the horse and rider combinations to be nominated to the Australian Olympic Committee for selection to the 2012 Australian Olympic Team.
