in response to a suggestion received that this could be used as a training aid for horse riders, I replied as follows:-
ReplyDeletepersonally I think it bears no relationship to any aspect of riding.. the closest would be canter/lope but there is no sideways element... I view it as an exercise fad tied to aspirational marketing... as per previous FB posts/links suggesting riding is becoming 'in' in Asia... the actual horse 'rider' used in the video says it all!!! the company marketing this obviously has no true comprehension of the discipline - otherwise they'd have used footage of someone who could at least control their lower leg... from a horse business marketing point of view I see it as a talking point amongst equestrians, but never a tool to be used in improving riding... indeed the use of the seatbones and hips runs contrary to what i would consider as good riding... but i'd be interested in other opinions.. best regards, labruyere
